Located at mile marker 22.1, Mathews Arm is secluded in deep forest and located close to the Overall Run Falls, Shenandoah's tallest waterfall. Elkwallow is the closest camp store, about two miles away. There are 166 campsites in the campground suitable for tents or RVs. The campground also has flush toilets, drinking water, and dump stations. The campground is open from early May to late October and has first-come, first-serve sites as well as reservable sites.
