For sweeping views over three different mountain ranges, make the trek to the summit of Killington Peak. This 7-mile out and back trail is steep, although it is worth every step once you see the amazing views from the top. Not only will you be able to see the nearby Green Mountains, but you will also gaze into New Hampshire at the White Mountains and New York for the Adirondacks. It is best to do this hike during the spring or summer if you are hoping to see those picture-perfect views. However, it is also possible to do it in winter, as long as you come prepared with snowshoes, crampons, or microspikes.
