One of Vermonts most famous residents 30th President of the United States Calvin Coolidge lived on this site in Plymouth Notch. Not only was he born and raised here, but he also took the presidential oath from the inside of his family home. The entire village has been preserved to reflect the time period when Coolidge lived in the area. You can tour the inside of his home, visit the Cilley General Store and Post Office that was founded by his father, and even see 19th-century barns and farming equipment that was used at the time. You can also stop by the Plymouth Cheese Factory (which was also founded by Coolidges father), which still produces cheese to this day.
