This route is part of the Appalachian/Long Trail as it winds through the lush forest and ponds of the Green Mountains. Due to the trails length, you will likely need to spend the night at the Stratton Pond Shelter. However, you can wake up bright and early to continue your journey up the mountains slopes. At the peak, you will find an old fire tower that you can climb for sweeping views of the valley and surrounding landscape.
