Bolton Potholes Details
Also known as the Devils Potholes, this swimming area is a beloved hotspot for locals of Chittenden County. Here, you will find a set of three waterfalls flowing into different-sized potholes. The first pothole is only 5 feet by 7 feet wide, so it can only fit a few people at once. However, the second pothole downstream is much larger and better suited for swimming. It is 25-feet in diameter and has a 10-foot deep well of clear turquoise water. The third waterfall flows into a small stream, which is shallow and suitable for wading. Keep in mind this is a very popular destination, and it is not uncommon to see dozens of people waiting in line to jump in the potholes. If you are looking for some privacy, it is best to come early in the morning or during the week.
