Hop Valley Trail Details
This trail begins by wandering through open fields before descending into Hop Valley. As the red-hued, vertical walls of the valley rise above the trail, the sandy but hard-packed trail steadily steepens before leveling out on the valley floor. The valley itself is spectacular, with the Kolob rock formations are visible in the distance, and a small creek wandering through lush, swampy areas. Cows from a nearby farm often graze in the valley on a small parcel of private land. The trail continues, crossing the stream a few times, and heading through a pretty forested area before joining La Verkin Creek Trail.
