Wildcat Canyon Trail Details
Connecting Wildcat Canyon to the West Rim Trail, this pretty trail provides a good way to see a number of Zion National Park's less-celebrated landmarks, as well as some exceptionally beautiful scenery. The trail is fairly easy, with only moderate ascents and descents, and is not particularly popular, and thus can feel quite secluded. It travels through a dense pine forest until it opens up to for decent views of the Great West Canyon and a wide, open meadow filled with wildflowers and songbirds. Highlights include interesting lava formations near Wildcat Canyon and great views of a number of massive rock formations, including Pocket Mesa and Pine Valley Peak.
