Camping Details

There are three campgrounds in Zion National Park, each equipped with restrooms, a drinking water source, picnic tables, fire grates, and dump stations. South and Lava Point campground are both first-come, first-served. The larger of the two, South Campground, charges a $16 fee per night, while the smaller and more isolated Lava Point Campground is free, but has no water source. The third campground, Watchman Campground, takes reservations up to six months in advance, and has sites ranging from $16 to $20 per night. There are also private campgrounds with showers and RV hookups outside the park. Reservations for the summer season (April through October) can be made by calling 1-877-444-6777, at [www.recreation.gov](https://www.facebook.com/zionnps/?fref=ts), or in person at the campground. Reservations may be cancelled without refund if site is not occupied by 11 a.m. on day after scheduled arrival or if site is unoccupied for 24 hours South Campground is closed from Nov. 5 to Feb. 28. Watchman Campground is first-come, first-served from Nov. 26 to Feb. 28. The number of available campsites may vary throughout the year.
