Looking to catch the sunrise or sunset in Capitol Reef National Park? Sunset Point is the obvious go-to for the latter, but there are several great spots to witness the start of a new day as well. The easiest is to watch the sun come up over the Castle from the Capitol Reef Visitor Center; setting out on the Scenic Drive around dusk can yield some great views of the sandstone cliffs glowing in the sunset. Panorama Point is great for winter sunsets and sunrise just about any time. Feeling ambitious? Head up to the Cathedral Valley to catch the sun rising over the aptly named Temple of the Sun (and the Temple of the Moon).
