Pets Details

Pets are not allowed on any hiking or backcountry trails in Canyonlands National Park. Leashed pets may be walked only on the roads and in parking lots. Unattended pets are reluctantly allowed at paid campsites within the park. Due to extreme heat it is not recommended to leave pets in a parked car with cracked windows when the temperature exceeds 65 degrees Fahrenheit (18 degrees Celsius). Check the Visitor Center for kennels and dog spas in nearby Moab. Service animals are allowed with proper identification.
