Buck Canyon Overlook Details

11.8 miles from the Island in the Sky entrance is the Buck Canyon Lookout. Quieter and easier to access than the more-dramatic Mesa Arch, this impressive lookout offers views to the east of the Colorado River and the La Sal Mountains. From this vantage point you can see how the Colorado River and rainwater have carved deep and mysterious canyons into the earth, exposing layer upon layer of strata. Bring binoculars to watch mountain bikers below on the White Rim Trail.
