Horseback Riding Details
Bryce Canyon has a trail designated for horseback riding, and horses and mules also share the Peek a Boo Loop hiking trail with people. Park concessionaires lead two- and three-hour horse and mule rides into the canyon between April and October, weather and trail conditions permitting. Riders may go out in groups of two or four. Rides can be booked at the Bryce Canyon Lodge on the day you want to ride, or by calling 435 834-5500. For advance reservations, call 435 679-8665 or visit [CanyonRides.com](http://www.canyonrides.com). Private horseback riding is also permitted in the canyon, and the park has a day corral and horse trailer parking. You must schedule a specific date and time at least 72 hours in advance in order to ride in the park; call 435-834-4736. You also should check in at the visitor center for an orientation about the trails and facilities. Private riders are reminded that: - Stock should never be left unattended. - Overnight rides are prohibited. - Load and unload only in the Mixing Circle area. - Ride only on designated trails. - Stay on trails at all times. - Use only certified weed-free feed for at least 48 hours prior to entering the park. - All stock must have current Coggins Certification, which will be verified by park rangers.
