Meridian State Park Details
Spend a beautiful day in nature when you visit this 500-acre state park in Meridian. It's home to a sparkling 72-acre Lake Meridian, which provides the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of swimming, fishing, or boating. The park was sold to the state by private owners in the 1930s, after which the Civilian Conservation Corps worked tirelessly to build numerous park facilities. Their most notable work was building a dam across Bee Creek, which formed what we know today as Lake Meridian. Around the park stretches five miles of hiking trails filled with native wildlife and vegetation. The Bosque Hiking Trail is a great choice for first-time visitors, as it loops around the entire lake. You can also rent fishing equipment, kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes on-site if you'd rather spend the day out on the water. Entrance Fees - Adult: $5 Daily - Child 12 Years and Under: Free Reservations are available [online] (https://texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com/camping/meridian-state-park/r/facilityDetails.do?contractCode=TX&parkId=1200103&_ga=2.190857135.447085507.1618845916-917412064.1616861417) or by calling (512) 389-8900
