It cradles the beautiful Lake Casa Blanca, which is known for its fishing, boating, water skiing, and swimming activities. The park opened to the public in 1991 after the state signed a 50-year lease with the city of Laredo. Since then, its become a popular destination for both locals and tourists who flock to the lake for the scenic beauty and water-based opportunities. The facilities in the park are top-notch, with numerous campsites, hiking trails, playgrounds, baseball fields, tennis courts, and equipment rental shops on-site. You can also choose to fish off the pier (reels and rods can be rented) for striped bass, crappie, and catfish.
