Fairfield Lake State Park Details

Bordering the 2,400-acre lake, boating and fishing are the primary activities at this park. Opened in 1976, the 1,460-acre park was established after Texas Utilities built the dam which created Fairfield Lake. The surrounding area is made up of hardwood forests and rolling hills, including Dogwood, redbud, cedar, and wildflowers which provide seasonal colors. Visitors can enjoy a swim in the sandy swimming area. Hikers and equestrian riders can enjoy a 15-mile trail. The park runs regular ranger programs Campsites - full hook-ups and primitive - are available for overnight camping.
