If you are looking for a quiet place where you can hike without bumping shoulders with other people, then look no further than this blissful trail. It is located in Fairfield Lake State Park and travels for three miles in both directions. Much of the travel is relatively flat, although there are a few bridges you can cross that boast pretty views of the Big Brown Creek and the neighboring wooded forest. At the end of the trail is an access point to the southwestern part of the 2,400-acre Fairfield Lake. You can dip your toes in the waters before heading back, or you can stay for a bit to admire the jet skiers, boaters, and swimmers out on the water.
