Lost Peak Details

From the Dog Canyon trailhead, at the Dog Canyon visitor center and campground, off of state road 137, follow the Tejas Trail to the summit of Lost Peak. You'll start out through a meadow and in to the lush greenery of Dog Canyon, which is filled with juniper, oak, pine and maple. After a little while the trail starts to climb up towards the summit, where you'll be rewarded with views of the surrounding desert. The round trip journey is a moderate six and a half miles, with an elevation gain of 1,540 feet, and takes around five or six hours.
