Marcus Overlook Details

For a moderate journey in the northern region of the park, start from Dog Canyon Trailhead off of state road 137, the northern entrance to the park (parking available here), and head up the Bush Mountain trail. After a few miles you'll intersect with the Manzanita Ridge trail; follow this until the terrain levels off, and take in the stunning views of West Dog Canyon. You'll return to the trailhead parking lot via the same route for a round trip journey of four and a half miles, with a gain of around 1,000 miles.
