Dog Canyon Campground Details
This small, secluded forest campground is located at the park's northern entrance at the mouth of Dog Canyon. This campground is cooler than Pine Springs due to its higher elevation and the shade it receives from surrounding forests and tall limestone cliffs. There are nine tent sites and four RV sites here, though there are no hook ups or dump stations for RV users. There are bathrooms with toilets and sinks but no showers. Sites are not reservable, except for one group site ($3 per person). That group site can be reserved up to two months in advance. When you arrive, claim your site and then pay the camping fee in an envelope at the self-service fee station at the entrance to the campground. There are also horse corrals here for those traveling with stock. If your stock are staying the corral overnight, you are are required to stay in a nearby campsite.
