Emory Peak Trail Details

If you want to feel on top of the world, then this is the hike for you. The Emory Peak Trail brings you to the highest point in the park, allowing for the ultimate panorama of desert, mountains, canyons and everything in between. The trail is a 10.5 mile out and back hike with plenty of amazing vistas along the way to provide much needed breaks. The last 25 feet of the trail require a scramble up a sheer rock wall, but once you reach the top, you get that amazing 360 view of the park. Most hikers spend five or six hours on this hike. To access this trail use the Chisos Basin Trailhead which is located just behind the Chisos Basin Visitor Center.
