Border Information Details

Visitors can legally enter Mexico through the Boquillas Crossing Port of Authority which is open from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday and is a Class B port of entry. Class B means that the port is a designated port of entry for travelers who at the time of applying for admission are lawfully in possession of valid Permanent Resident Cards or valid non-resident aliens' border-crossing identification cards or are admissible without requiring a waiver of inadmissibility. Because of the remote nature of this border crossing, smuggling routes do run through the park. If you encounter anything suspicious or potentially threatening, do not engage. Instead, report it to the nearest park ranger.
