Boquillas Canyon Details
Boquillas Canyon is a short hike that leads to a spectacular view of the park's longest and deepest chasm. At only 1.4 miles, the hike should take you just under an hour. This hike takes you to the top of a bluff that overlooks the Rio Grande. There are sandy slopes where the canyon walls meet the river, usually a favorite with kids. In order to see more of the canyon, you may want to consider a float trip down the river which will allow you to travel all 18 miles of the canyon. In order to access this trail you should follow the road from Panther Junction to Rio Grande Village and then use the Boquillas Canyon Spur Road to reach the parking area and trail head at the end.
