Boquillas Canyon Details

Located in Big Bend National Park, this awe-inspiring canyon has towering limestone walls that extend 1,500-feet into the air. Through its center flows the Rio Grande River, which twists and turns through the canyon's crevice, creating calm rapids perfect for an afternoon of rafting or tubing. This is the longest and deepest canyon in the entire park, so you should allow a few days if you are interested in exploring it in its entirety. However, day visitors can still admire its grandeur from above by hiking along the 1.4-mile trailhead around the canyon's rim. From the top, you will have magnificent views of the river.
