Wind Cave Visitor Center Details
Located in the southern end of the park, on a spur road off of Highway 385, the Wind Cave Visitor Center is a great place to start your trip. You can get information and pick up brochures, and a movie called _Wind Cave, Two Worlds_ plays on a continuous loop. Take time to browse exhibits that help you learn about different species of prairie grass and other plants and wildlife; discover how Native American tribes interacted with the buffalo; understand the history of Wind Cave; and explain the different types of formations you'll see inside the cave. The visitor center is also the start and end point for all cave tours. The center is fully accessible and is open seven days a week, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.
