Garden of Eden Tour Details
This is the easiest of the cave tours offered at Wind Cave National Park, and it is recommended even for people with poor physical fitness or mobility limitations. The tour covers 1/3 mile and lasts around an hour; you'll enter and exit the cave via elevator. During the tour you'll see examples of different cave formations, such as boxwork, cave popcorn, and flowstone. The route is mostly flat, although there are 150 stair steps over the course of the 1/3-mile walk. The tour costs $10 for adults, and $5 for seniors and children ages 6-16. Kids age five or under are admitted for free. From October through May, the Garden of Eden Tour is offered at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. daily, except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day. On Memorial Day weekend, the tour is offered at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. daily. From Memorial Day through June, the tour is offered at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily. From early June through early August, the Garden of Eden Tour is offered at 10:40 a.m., 12:40 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. daily. From early August through Labor Day, the Garden of Eden Tour is offered at 10:40 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. daily. During September, the tour is offered at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily.
