Pactola Campground Details
This campground at the southern shores of Pactola Reservoir is one of the more popular campgrounds in the National Forest. There are 83 tent sites, four of which are accessible to people with disabilities. Sites cost $24 per night. The campground has running water and restrooms; just a half-mile away, at the Pactola Lake marina, you can do laundry or take a shower. You can reserve sites at Pactola Campground, but reservations are not required. To access the campground, take US Highway 385 from Rapid City to Custer Gulch Road. The campground is two miles down Custer Gulch Road. The A-loop campsites stay open through the winter; the rest of the sites close.
