Lookout Point Trail Details

This moderate 1.9 mile (one-way) trail shares the same trailhead as the Centennial Trail off Highway 87, 0.7 miles north of the junction with Highway 385. The trail rolls up and over the prairie, climbing past Lookout Point (you can take a detour up to Lookout Point to get views of a 1986 prescribed burn). The trail ends at Beaver Creek, but instead of simply turning around you can continue to the Highland Creek Trail and the Centennial Trail: adding these legs will turn your out-and-back trip into a 4.5-mile loop that ends back at the Centennial/Lookout Point trailhead.
