Cook Lake Recreation Area Campground Details

Cook Lake campground has 32 tent or RV sites and 33 picnic areas. Some of the campsites accommodate an RV or vehicle, while others are walk-in only. Walk-in sites cost $14 per night and drive-in sites cost $18 per night. During the off-season, from September through May, all sites cost $10 per night. Day users pay $4 to enter the Recreation Area. You can fish for trout, sunfish, or catfish in the lake, as well as use small boats (large motorized watercraft are not allowed). The boat dock is handicapped-accessible. The area also has several miles of hiking and biking trails. To get to the campground, take US Highway 14 to FR 838, to FR 843, to FR 842. Cook Lake is around one mile down FR 842. **NOTE:** This campground is currently closed until further notice.
