This non-profit organization was founded 65 years ago with the goal of increasing awareness and understanding of the Black Hills. Today, the [Black Hills Parks and Forest Association](http://www.blackhillsparks.org/) operates bookstores at Wind Cave National Park, Jewel Cave National Monument, Custer State Park, Forest Service district offices and the Forest Supervisor's office, and the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands. Proceeds from all sales goes to funding research projects and internships, as well as supporting new publications and buying equipment and educational supplies.
