Below the Grand View Terrace is the Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center, museum and theaters, providing a terrific introduction to Mount Rushmore. Here visitors will find information and exhibits showcasing the mountain carving, the sculptor, the workers, and U.S. history in general. The film "Mount Rushmore, The Shrine" is shown every 20 minutes in each of the building's two theaters throughout the park's opening hours, and tells the story of not only the creation of Mount Rushmore, but of sculptor Gutzon Borgum and the workers who helped him with his masterpiece. Rangers are on hand to help with making the most of visits to the memorial, and Junior Ranger and Rushmore Ranger programs are available to immerse kids in the experience. Elevators provide access from the Grand View Terrace to the museum lobby.
