Longleaf Campground Details
With its location adjacent to the park entrance road, Longleaf Campground is easily accessible for your night under the trees. The campground features 10 individual and four group camping sites, and each site has its own fire ring and picnic table. The individual sites can have a maximum of eight people and two tents each, and the group sites must have a minimum of nine people, but not more than 24, with a maximum of 10 tents per site. Two toilets are found at the front of the campground, and while there isn't any running water, water is available 24 hours a day at the visitor center. Before pitching your tent, know that only tent camping is permitted; fires are permitted only in the fire rings; dead wood may be collected for firewood, but no live trees should be cut; and no one may camp within the park for more than 14 consecutive days, and no more than 28 days within a six-month period. Camping fees are $10/night for a regular tent site and $20/night for a group site; [reservations are required](http://www.recreation.gov/camping/congaree-national-park/r/campgroundDetails.do'contractCode=NRSO&parkId=74318), 877-444-6777.
