Big Tree Hike Details
On the second Saturday of the month (seasonally), from 1-4 p.m., join a Congaree National Park ranger for a Big Tree Hike (free). The 4.5-mile hike will take you off the maintained trails and into the mud and ankle-deep water to see some of the park's biggest trees. It's suggested that participants bring along good footwear, water, snacks and insect repellent. Check the park's calendar for upcoming Big Tree Hikes.
