Accessibility Details

Most of Crater Lake National Park's public facilities, including the buildings at Mazama Village and Rim Village, are accessible for people with limited mobility. Mazama Campground is also accessible, though Lost Creek Campground is not. Most administrative buildings are also accessible. Some of the picnic areas along Rim Drive, such as the Vidae Falls picnic area, have accessible parking spaces and picnic tables, and most of the park's bathrooms have accessible options. Service dogs are welcome in all buildings and facilities when on duty. Most of the park's acreage is backcountry wilderness and therefore inaccessible to wheelchairs. However, there are several trails, or sections of trail, that are even and wide enough to comfortably accommodate a wheelchair. These trails include the upper section of the Annie Creek Canyon Trail; several segments of the Lady of the Woods Loop; the first three-quarters of the Plaikni Falls Trail; the Pinnacles Trail; and the Sun Notch Trail. The Godfrey Glen Trail, a one-mile loop off of Mudson Road by the park's southern entrance, is the only fully accessible trail. Greyback Road, a packed gravel/dirt road off of Pinnacle Drive, is closed to cars and therefore serves as a nice, wide, even trail that can accommodate wheelchairs.
