Mustill Store Trailhead Details
Built in the 1850s to provide grocery items and a butcher to the growing Akron community, this typical lock-side store still stands on its original site by Lock 15. The store, which still operates as a dispensary of souvenirs and cold beverages, doubles as a exhibition hall for information about the history of the Cascade Locks, the park, and Akron. One of the oldest buildings in the park, and now fully restored after its addition to the National Register of Historic Places with the surrounding Cascade Locks area, it is open to the public and creates a great liaison between the park and downtown Akron. This small parking lot has approximately 25 spaces available.
