Botzum Trailhead Details
Located near the historic Conrad Botzum Farmstead, this area is a portal to the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail and the long-distance Buckeye Trail. History is rich in the area. Surrounded by beech and sycamore forests, the small hills near the trailhead were once camps to early Native Americans, and further down the Buckeye Trail is the former Botzum Cemetery. The Bath Road Heronry, a habitat for great blue herons, is also located near the trailhead, and can be visited February to July.
