Lock 39-Frazee House (Towpath Trail) Details
This 3.75-mile section of the Towpath Trail boasts a number of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park's crown attractions. In addition to following the only section of the canal that is still filled with water, this part of the trail contains the remains of Locks 37, 38, and 39, as well as Pilgrims Rest, an area that was once a temporary Christian missionary and Native American settlement. After passing the monumental Abraham Ulyatt House, built in 1839, this section of trail ends at the brick Frazee House. A boarding station for the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is also located near Lock 39.
