Inidgo Lake Details

One of the park's many small lakes, Indigo Lake's glassy surface and tranquil, tree-lined edges makes it an ideal spot for shady strolls and afternoon exploration. A small, unpaved trail follows the lake's periphery and allows for close-up investigations of the water's edge. But as inviting as the clear blue waters may be, swimming is prohibited. The lake, which was once a gravel quarry and home to Mound Builders before that, is 35 feet deep and a great place for kayaking and catch-and-release fishing. An open-air train depot for the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is located nearby.
