Answers to some frequently asked questions about the park, courtesy of the National Park Service: **Where is Theodore National Park?** The park is located in the northwestern section of North Dakota, in an area known as the badlands. **When is the park open?** The park is open year-round and 24 hours a day. Services are reduced and some roads may be closed during the winter months. **What is the cost to visit?** Entrance to the park is $20 per single, non-commercial vehicle, $15 per motorcycle, or $10 per individual on foot, riding a bicycle, or on other non-motorized vehicles. Passes are valid for 7 days. Commercial tours rates are also available. Check the park [website](https://www.nps.gov/thro/planyourvisit/fees.htm) for the most current rates. **Where can I drive in the park? How long does it take?** The South Unit and the North Unit of the park each have scenic drives. The South Unit Scenic Drive Loop is 36 miles and takes about 90 minutes. The North Unit Scenic Drive is 14 miles and takes about one hour. **Are there campgrounds with RV hookups?** The park operates two year-round campgrounds. Cottonwood Campground is in the South Unit and Juniper Campground is in the North Unit of the park. Both can accommodate RVs, but no hookups are available. There is also the seasonal Roundup Group Horse Campground for camping with horses.
