Use this detail page to confirm that the stop is worth it, then carry that decision into a trip draft while the park context is still fresh.
Camping Details
Theodore Roosevelt National Park has year-round campgrounds in the South and North Units that provide a great base for park hikes or explorations. A seasonal campground is also available for visitors with horses. Cottonwood Campground (South Unit) and Juniper Campground (North Unit) are both open year-round and offer walk-in, pull-through, and back-in sites with picnic tables and fire pits. The Roundup Group Horse Campground is located in the northwestern corner of the South Unit and is only open from May 1 to Oct. 31, by reservation only. Facilities include tent platforms, raised grills and a covered pavilion. All campgrounds offer wheelchair-accessible campsites and restrooms that meet ADA access requirements.
