Stream Crossings Details
Streams can be one of the most unexpected, but harmful hazards in the park. Do not attempt to cross streams that are more than ankle deep, and always wear shoes and use a strong stick or walking pole for support. Most flooded streams recede fairly quickly, and waiting for them to do so is strongly encouraged to avoid the risk of injury, hypothermia, and drowning.
