Gregory Ridge Trail Details
This trail begins in an old, towering hemlock forest and climbs through groves of pines and under shady hardwoods to one of the parks' most lovely summits. The strenuous trail occasionally offers views of Cades Cove, and climbs steadily over well-worn trail to the stunning, 10-acre meadow at the mountain's summit. A popular day hike, the bald is well known for it's steep ascent and beautiful azaleas, tulip trees, rhododendron, and mountain laurels.
