Campbell Overlook Details
The Carlos Campbell Overlook on Newfound Gap Road is considered to have the best vistas of any scenic stop in Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Your view is dominated by 6,593-foot Mt. LeConte, the third-largest peak in the Smokies, and the Sugarlands Valley, and several different types of forest are visible. The overlook is named for a local outdoorsman who was an early advocate for the establishment of the park.
