The Spider Cave tour is a great option for people with a craving for adventure. This maze cave involves lots of climbing and crawling, so if you are not a fan of heights, tight spaces, or getting dirty, consider a different tour. Arachnophobic? Fear not: while the cave contained millions of spiders when it was first discovered, they had vanished by the 1960s. You'll start the tour at the visitor center theater and caravan to the Garden Grove Canyon trailhead. A 1/3-mile hike takes you to the mouth of the cave. Inside, you'll explore the Mace Room, Medusa Room, and Cactus Spring, as well as a myriad of other impressive cave formations. The tour lasts four hours and costs $20 for adults, $10 for kids and seniors. The minimum age on this tour is 12 years old, and anyone under the age of 16 must come with an adult. All participants need to be able to safely navigate delicate cave formations and underground pools. The tour guide will provide you with a headlamp, helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and gloves. You are required to bring three AAA batteries.
