Carlsbad Canyon Visitor Center Details
The Carlsbad Canyon Visitor Center is located at the end of Highway 7 (the Carlsbad Cavern Highway), seven miles off of Highway 180/62. Come here to get information for your visit to the park, as well as to purchase cave entrance passes and tour tickets. The visitor center has a gift shop, bookstore, restaurant, and kennel. The restaurant, the Carlsbad Caverns Trading Post, serves hot meals as well as to-go sandwiches, salads, and snacks. Pet owners can leave their animals at the kennel for $10 per day (pets are not allowed on any trails or inside the cavern). Outside the visitor center you'll find restrooms and water fountains.
