Bat Flight Amphitheater Details

Located just outside the natural entrance, this arena has seats for visitors to gather and watch thousands of Mexican Free-Tailed Bats exit the cave for their nightly insect hunt. Before the bats depart, rangers present an educational talk. The official Bat Flight events happen each evening from Memorial Day through October. The amphitheater features rings of stone benches looking down on the cavern's natural entrance, and is a good reference point for finding your way around the park.
