For the majority of the drive, you’ll have a clear view of the Presidential Range peaks, although the best views are from the 2,032-foot Pinkham Notch mountain pass. If you are starting north from Littleton, you will also encounter a few other small towns where you can stop for a lunch of leg stretch. The villages along Route 2 are particularly scenic, as they generally provide the best views of the mountains.
