During the spring and summer, Newbury Beach on the shores of Lake Sunapee is teeming with swimmers and sunbathers. A boat launch for kayaking and canoeing is also available. Once the weather starts to turn, the park becomes a popular destination for alpine skiing. The slopes of Mount Sunapee have 66 runs, making it one of the best winter sporting destinations in the state.
