Forest Lake State Park Details
Dating back to 1935, this park is one of the oldest in the state. It was originally constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps as a ski area, although it is no longer possible to do any winter-based activities here now. However, this park is still a great place for swimming, biking, fishing, and boating. It covers 397 acres and has a 200-foot beach that lines the shore of its namesake lake. Boaters should be aware that there is no launch, so all kayaks and canoes will need to be placed directly on the water.
