Strawberry Creek
Catch-and-release fishing is the only kind allowed in Strawberry Creek because the fish population is not yet strongly established.
Plan Around Strawberry Creek
A good stop is not just something to read about. Once it belongs on the day, move into a saved trip and build the route around it.
Use this detail page to confirm that the stop is worth it, then carry that decision into a trip draft while the park context is still fresh.
Strawberry Creek Details
The new population of Bonneville cutthroat trout is not established enough to support any fishing aside from catch-and-release. However, if you are just fishing for sport, this is a great place to spend a day on the water. To access Strawberry Creek, turn right onto Strawberry Creek Road about 2.5 miles past Sacramento Pass. Remember that all fishing requires a Nevada state fishing permit that can be purchased online and printed out. If you are fishing, you must have your permit on-hand. The park does not sell fishing permits.
