However, the town of Baker which is about five miles east of the park has a gas station open year-round. **Are fires allowed in the park?** Yes, fires are allowed in all campsites and picnic areas and in the backcountry areas under 10,000 feet. There are no fires allowed in the Bristlecone pine groves. **Can I make reservations for camping?** No, all campsites are first come, first serve. **What are the current conditions in the park?** Park conditions can be found [here](https://www.nps.gov/grba/planyourvisit/template-Current-Conditions.cfm) or by following the park on Twitter @GreatBasinNPS. **Will my cell phone work inside the park?** Probably not.
